If you’ve been paying attention to my Twitter for the past few days, you probably noticed that I was promoting a new track called “Shake” that I did for the good people over at DJBooth.Net for their “Freestyle Series” section. When searching for a beat for this entry I was looking for something that would be as unpredictable as it was challenging to write to in order to show more of my lyrical ability and this Cool and Dre produced instrumental fit the bill. Not only because I had to think of new things to say that went along with the word “Shake” as Game did on his version, but also to make a hook completely different as well and write it in song format.
