If you’ve been paying attention to my Twitter for the past few days, you probably noticed that I was promoting a new track called “Shake” that I did for the good people over at DJBooth.Net for their “Freestyle Series” section. When searching for a beat for this entry I was looking for something that would be as unpredictable as it was challenging to write to in order to show more of my lyrical ability and this Cool and Dre produced instrumental fit the bill. Not only because I had to think of new things to say that went along with the word “Shake” as Game did on his version, but also to make a hook completely different as well and write it in song format. Yezzur…It’s finally here!! Special Thanks due to BuckMarleyXXX.com for being the first blog to BELIEVE in ME which is why I got up with him to release this. Also, thanks goes to my 4 Alarm Family: Mr. 703, The Authentic, & Nook. Can’t forget the producers who attributed to the project as well: Johnny Juliano, J-$crilla (Gunz-N-Butter), & Kajmir Royale. This is my first release to the internet as an artist (yeah I know I’m late…but no time like the present) and it’s purely a collection of freestyles that I threw out there to get some attention from the major bloggers in hopes to get put on blogs everywhere and with a little online grind and persistence, it’s beginning to pay off.
